Course Catalogue

In Adventure School Adventures, characters are defined by the abilities they learn. They choose what courses to take from a broad selection of available options, and decide how much effort to put into mastering those courses, which determines how good they become at their chosen specialties. Abilities that would be granted by being in a "class" in a traditional RPG are instead something that can be learned in a class in Adventure School Adventures. Most abilities used by characters in the manga were learned through study.

The course catalogue contains all of these courses, and also details what abilities they grant, what students learn to do with this knowledge at various levels of mastery, what avenues of further study they open up, and what students need to already know as a pre-requisite before they can learn these abilities. This document exists in a similar form within the fiction of the game, and is something the characters themselves can read and use to plan what kind of adventurer they hope to become. In Adventure School Adventures, the build-making decisions made by a player are also made in character.
